Creato da Antonio Sciortino, Antokso è sinonimo di vasi unici e interamente lavorati a mano realizzati a Milano. Nato in Svizzera nel 1978, Antonio, si forma a Firenze dove scopre e studia la cultura orientale. Nel 2019 si trasferisce in Giappone nella prefettura di Gifu per studiare la tecnica Raku, il metodo di cottura della ceramica Giapponese nato nel XVI secolo che segue lo spirito dello Zen che si prefigge di esaltare l’armonia delle piccole cose e la bellezza della naturalezza delle stesse. Sotto la supervisione del maestro Setsuro Shibata, apprende i processi creativi, la modellazione, la preparazione degli smalti e le antiche tecniche della cottura a legna. La tecnica Raku permette di ottenere oggetti unici dalle sfumature metalliche esaltando il gusto wabi-sabi, l'ideale di bellezza del sol levante presente nelle cose imperfette. Risultato che Antonio ottiene nelle sue creazioni, per lui plasmare vuol dire creare e rendere materiche le sue sensazioni. Le sue opere hanno forme scomposte, si accartocciano, implodono, la sua materia e impregnata di pigmenti che formano un lessico creativo unico vero segno di distinzione di Antokso.

Created by Antonio Sciortino, Antokso is synonymous with unique and entirely handmade vases made in Milan. Born in Switzerland in 1978, Antonio trained in Florence where he discovered and studied oriental culture. In 2019 he moved to Japan in the prefecture of Gifu to study the Raku technique, the method of cooking Japanese ceramics born in the sixteenth century that follows the spirit of Zen, aiming to enhance the harmony of small things and the beauty of their naturalness. Under the supervision of sensei Setsuro Shibata, he learns the creative processes, modeling, preparation of glazes and the ancient techniques of wood firing. The Raku technique allows to obtain unique objects with metallic shades, enhancing the wabi-sabi, the Japanese ideal of beauty present in imperfect things. Result that Antonio obtains in his creations, for him to mold it means to create and to turn his sensations into matter. His works shows decomposed forms, they crumple, implode, his material is impregnated with pigments that form a creative lexicon, the only true sign of Antokso's distinction.
